About Ray Murphy
Ray is a Chartered Marketer, holds the CIM PG Diploma in Marketing, has a psychology degree and Certificate in Education, and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 1971. Ray has been managing CIM programmes for over 18 years and at Oxford College of Marketing he is a CIM marketing course subject specialist and is responsible for the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing where he manages the tutor training, course materials, assignments for Marketing Planning Process, Marketing Management, Project Management in Marketing and Delivering Customer Value.
Previously, After a career in marketing management with Littlewoods Pools and Warrington Development Corporation in the late 1970's Ray joined the Whittle International Group initially as Sales and Marketing Manager, eventually taking on the role of General Manager.
In 1983 he set up his own Marketing Consultancy business specialising in work with small/medium sized businesses, and became a listed consultant under the government funded Marketing Initiative programme. He has written a number of distance learning texts covering marketing and management topics and produced and appeared in a number of training videos.
